An Arts and Crafts style home which captures the charm of a romantic era

‘Nanowie,’ built 1927 in the Arts and Crafts style, is centrally located and captures the charm of a romantic era when homes were complemented by rambling, character-filled gardens designed for both beauty and quiet enjoyment.
The garden is well sheltered and richly planted, creating a peaceful haven for birds and bees. Native species thrive in the heavy clay soil, while a selection of exotics adds variety and seasonal interest throughout the space.
In spring, the garden comes alive with colour as roses bloom and bulbs emerge in vibrant succession.
At the rear, stone walling frames a productive area where vegetables are grown in wicking beds and pots.
An artist’s studio, open by request, offers a glimpse into the creative spirit of the property, while a G-scale train set adds a touch of charm and whimsy.
