A historic goldfield’s country store and century-old garden
London House Emporium was built in 1861, and has been occupied for the past
twenty years by Jason Conn, who with care and an eye for detail has revealed the true history of this old store while gradually restoring London House and its garden to their former glory.
The gardens are entered through the house and gallery, and open out onto a beautiful courtyard with raised stone-edged garden beds.
You can wander through a descending garden under a canopy of abundant foliage surrounded by flower beds onto the rear garden which features two historic Ash trees which can be seen from the highway as you enter Guildford.
This is a garden that evokes the peace and quiet of times gone by.
