152 Hargraves – Castlemaine

So inviting, so inspiring….

This compact cottage garden includes a diverse range of enticing, unusual and exciting plants, including natives and introduced species.

The choice of plants has been determined by our dry climate and generally low rainfall, a reef that runs just below the surface, which proves a severe lack of original top soil.

This had made establishing, what is today a lush garden, to be quite a challenge.
