“An Urban Garden embracing the verge”
An abundant and enticing urban garden block overflowing with natives, flowering perennials and annuals. The garden was developed to have a positive effect on the environment and to encourage biodiversity.
An extensive verge garden using a modified Hügelkultur technique was established on a difficult slope and is a talking point for locals.
Vegetables and fruiting trees are grown in wicking pots. Chickens happily entertain and assist with composting. Quirky, creative yet practical upcycled materials add to the garden’s functionality reducing waste in land fill.
